About Me
BS in Interior Design at SFASU, Graduation Spring 2024

Born and raised in Costa Rica, I have made the Southern United States my home for nearly two decades. As a child, I explored my country alongside my mother, who taught me to respect our environment. My experiences in Costa Rica sculpted my observance of evidence-based design and sustainability. Simultaneously, I developed a passion for the arts and often expressed my creativity through drawings and poetry. I began my academic career pursuing creative writing in North Carolina; however, I embarked on a different path after working at a furniture showroom with interior designers. I quickly realized that I have a passion and knack for interior design. Since then, I have also gained experience designing millwork with European cabinetry systems.
I began my formal education in interior design in the Houston Community College Interior Design program in June 2020. Now, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Stephen F. Austin State University. As a student designer, I enjoy curating pieces from different design styles and periods to achieve striking yet harmonious compositions. Throughout my experience in the field and school, I have learned that any design solution is only as good as the research that supports it. With that in mind, I strive to create beautiful and timeless spaces to be universally experienced.
